Dr Richard Millhouse

Dr Richard Millhouse qualified from Edinburgh University in 1990, being awarded distinctions and a Class Medal at the Final examinations. He spent two years after qualification working at the Edinburgh hospitals gaining experience in restorative dentistry and surgery before moving into General Practice.

Richard obtained the MFGDP(UK) postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1996. In 2008 he gained a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Dental Implantology from the University of Warwick, with distinction. Richard has also been an examiner and mentor for the MSc degree in Dental Implantology at Warwick University. He is currently an examiner for the MSc in Advanced Dental Implantology at Aston University.

He is an experienced implantologist, having gained his experience in implantology in the Scottish hospital service and training in Harley Street, and is also a member of the Association for Dental Implantology. He is the Director of Surgical Training for the UK Implantology Year Course and International Implantology Certificate Course and has trained over 300 dentists in the use of dental implants.

He was a recent Chairman of the Cambridge Section of the British Dental Association and sits on the Education Committee of the East of England Deanery. Richard acts as an Expert Witness for the English Courts, providing opinions and reports on medico-legal cases.

Richard joined the practice in April 1998 and is committed to maintaining the preventive philosophy of our team and to developing his main interest in implants and in treating severely worn dentitions. He takes referrals from regional colleagues for implant and restorative work and regularly attends postgraduate courses and lectures to stay up to date with the latest techniques and materials.
